    The Junior Business Analyst works in the Analytics and Innovation department and provides support to assigned service lines. In this role, person will assist in coordinating service line implementation and will provide critical data analytical support to the team and various stakeholders.

     

    MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    1. Performs in-depth data analysis including data entry, data collection, data-mining and report generation in support of various hospital departments, physicians, and outside organizations.
    2. Works with end users to gather and understand reporting/data requirements and delivers reporting/data requests in a timely fashion.
    3. Coordinates and prioritizes tasks with senior team members and manager.
    4. Maintain liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations to coordinate and improve operations, accomplish directives and to facilitate the resolution of problems. Develop appropriate employee and management communication plans and necessary updates. Develop a working relationship with all key stakeholders and leverage communication skills to drive the project.
    5. Serves as a liaison to work with the Data Warehouse team and IS to manage requests that need new/changes to the data warehouse, generate data for reporting.
    6. Ensures all reporting solutions and data requests are validated and quality assurance tested by peers and end users; including developing and maintaining detailed data quality assurance documents. 
    7. Assists with Tableau server administration tasks, including data integrity, report decommissioning, and security maintenance.
    8. Ensures projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
    9. Assist the team in ensuring project management support is provided.
    10. Participate in all department activities and training as it pertains to tools and methodology.
    11. Assists in developing presentations as appropriate for leadership.
    12. Demonstrates proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and uses them to implement reporting and dashboarding solutions.
    13. Participates in professional development activities to keep current with industry trends.

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, or similar; Or 3-4 years experience in a Clinical field with relevant experience in real-time hospital settings;
    • Experience working with large volume of data in MS Excel, Tableau preferred.   
    • Experience working with MS Office suite, including Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access. SQL Server background a plus.
    • Experience with database query skills preferred.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
