  • Responsibilities

    Our Product Specialist positions require extensive knowledge in Durable Medical Equipment including scooters, power wheelchairs, lift chairs, beds, patient lifts, manual wheelchairs and other home access aids. Product Specialists enjoy varied hours and the ability to work from home. Minimal travel is required, and ongoing product training is provided. This is not a call center position; it is a professional sales position offering a terrific opportunity for career development, working with dedicated teammates with a focus on finding the right product for the customer. Our Product Specialists use a consultative and relationship-building approach with an emphasis on product expertise, high quality products and reliable support.

    PRODUCT SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Helping users, caregivers and case managers select and purchase appropriate Durable Medical Equipment, predominantly over the phone and occasionally through e-mail and internet via electronic chat sessions.
    • Working with manufacturers to ensure that the appropriate equipment is ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
    • Working closely with other team members to provide exceptional levels of service to our customers.

     WORK HOURS:

    • 40-48 hours / week, including 1-2 weekend shifts per month.
    • Standard 8-hour weekday shifts start vary from 9am – 12pm EST and continue to 6pm – 9pm EST.

    Required Skills

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3+ years of experience in the Durable Medical Equipment industry.
    • Sales experience selling DME and/ or working as an ATP.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience and a high degree of comfort in navigating the internet.
    • Dedicated, quiet, home work space with strong internet connection.

    DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:

    • Associates or bachelor’s degree and/or background in OT, PT or other allied health field.
    • Proficiency in assimilating information quickly.
    • Ability to communicate efficiently and clearly with customers, verbally or in writing.
    • Ability to multitask while providing exceptional customer service, support and responsiveness.
