September 2022 Perioperative Residency Program for Experienced Registered Nurses!

The OPERATING ROOM RESIDENCY PROGRAM (PERIOP 101) is a blended program with online modules created by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and Stamford Hospital Perioperative Services. This program combines a standardized, evidence-based online curriculum and textbook readings with hands-on skills labs and a clinical practicum. POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE IN BOTH THE GENERAL OPERATING ROOM AND THE ORTHOPEDIC FOCUSED OPERATING ROOM (A COLLABORATION WITH THE HOSPITAL FOR SPECIAL SURGERY). 

Program Start Date: September 26th, 2022.

Please note, all RN's in this program will potentially float between ORs located at both the main Hospital & Tully campuses.

Required Skills

1. At least one year of professional inpatient or hospital RN experience required. 

2. BLS required.

3) Surgical nursing experience highly preferred.

4. BSN highly preferred.
