Pre-Surgical Optimization Registered Nurse - PAT/POP Tully Health Center
This position is a member of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, which coordinates pre-assessment evaluations for elective surgical patients. Conducts both remote (telephone) and on site nursing assessments, working with hospitalists, to facilitate patient readiness prior to their date of surgery. Collaborates with anesthesia, surgeons, hospitalists, nurse practitioners, other consultants, ancillary services and medical assistants.
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hour work week. Monday through Friday. Shifts may start as early as 7:30 AM and end as late 5:30 PM.
Required Skills
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Current CT RN license required
Minimum of one year nursing experience required
Previous experience with adult and pediatric surgery/clinical assessments required
Strong communication, computer, organizational and interpersonal skills required
Meditech, EKG and phlebotomy experience preferred
BLS certification
