The Senior Project Manager is accountable for one or more large, diverse and complex projects or programs. The role is responsible for managing the execution of strategic and tactical projects as they pertain to the design, planning, testing, implementation, maintenance and integration of highly complex initiatives in a rapidly evolving IT environment. Directly responsible for using project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
The two Senior Project Managers will be responsible for achieving project objectives and overseeing quality control for Information Services projects throughout their entire life-cycle. Additionally, the Senior project managers are jointly responsible for managing the ISPMO in project prioritization, resource planning and ensuring the IS standard project methodologies are being followed. The ISPMO is comprised of Information Service’s Management and Team Leads.

Expertise with:
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Healthcare business processes and application knowledge necessary to support those processes within an integrated delivery network
Experience with healthcare information service vendors and the implementation/support of their software
Managing vendors and their relevant products and services.
Project Management experience in healthcare
Must be able to effectively:
Apply standard project management techniques for project-related work
Communicate effectively with peers, staff, and other departments; ensure that staff does the same
Competence with project management software (MS Project)
Ability to make difficult complex decisions
