  • Responsibilities

    Stamford Hospital is looking for a PARTTIME 30 HOURS A WEEK Radiology Registrar. THIS POSITON IS LOCATED IN THE TULLY CENTER.

    The Radiology Registrar performs a variety of Registrar duties for Diagnostic Radiology for all Modalities. Greets and receives patients, visitors, attending physicians, residents, etc. Processes and registers patient orders. Communicates protocols for ABN forms to staff and patients. Obtains scripts and labs results from physicians' offices, answers telephones for multiples area within Diagnostic Radiology. Prints daily schedules. Assists Radiologists, co-workers and management as needed. Acting receptionist for the Department, performs all clerical related job duties, acts as a liaison for other Departments within SH and Radiology. Communications with physicians and office staff as needed.

    Required Skills

     

     

    1. Provides quality services and assures that all patients are processed and imaged within scheduled appointment time.
    2. Acts as department’s liaison by informing the patient for their procedure and allow the patients to ask any related pertinent questions.
    3. Allows for maintaining a good rapport between patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, etc.
    4. Maintains communication with all modalities to ensure timely through-put of patients.
    5. Assures that all protocols and guidelines that have been established are met so that it does not affect patient care.

     

     

    Required Experience

    1. High School Diploma or GED required
    2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
    3. Familiar with computer and basic typing skills required
    4. Strong interpersonal skills / provides top notch customer service to patients, family member and the public
    5. Demonstrates ability to function as a member of a multi-tasking team / demonstrates ability to work independently
