    WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR OUR IMCU FELLOWSHIP!

    We are currently accepting applications for our September 2022 Intermediate Critical Care Fellowship Program. This program is designed to specifically ease the transition to becoming an intermediate critical care nurse by providing knowledge and education for this specialty area.

    The IMCU NURSE FELLOWSHIP is a blended program which includes the Essentials in Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) online modules created by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), journal article readings and discussion of evidence-based practice in the critical care setting, classroom learning, and opportunities for simulation to ensure the IMCU nurse fellows have the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to successfully transition to the critical care setting. The fellowship includes a 1-year complimentary AACN membership.

     

    PROGRAM TENTATIVE START DATE: JUNE 2022

    As of now, we will be looking for 2-3 RN's to transfer into this full time IMCU Fellowship program.

    Please note, all RN's in this program will be starting on the night shift - 7p-8a.  

     

    APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Updated Resume

    • One letter of recommendation from a peer

    • completed transfer request form, to be complete for day of interview with team

    Required Skills

    1. Must have a minimum of 1 year nursing experience at Stamford Hospital
    2. Minimum of 1.5 years of overall hospital nursing experience preferred
    3. Have been employed in his/her present position for at least one year
    4. Have satisfactorily completed the probation period in his/her current job
    5. Have an overall rating of “Satisfactory” on his/her most recent annual performance review
    6. Have no corrective action within the past 12 months.
    7. Must have a current CT RN License
    8. ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN highly preferred; will consider candidates with a plan to pursue BSN or BSN in progress. 
    9. Must have current BLS
