    Social Worker IV Salary $5,683.00 - $8,783.00 Monthly Location Livingston County, IL Job Type Full-Time Department Corrections Job Number IDOC 29-85-18-0042 Closing 1/11/2019 4:00 PM Central Description of Duties/Essential Functions Under direction of the Assistant Warden of Programs (Senior Public Service Administrator), conducts facility on-site clinical reviews; combines considerable responsibilities that are diagnostic, consultative, clinical and confidential in nature. Conducts structured evaluations and reviews of diagnostic and treatment considerations of individuals who have discharge barriers; signs petitions for commitments and involuntary admissions; utilizes independent judgment to evaluate treatment plans and their implementation for offenders to ensure that care meets the offender's goals; receives clinical oversight from the Northern Region Mental Health Administrator. Minimum Requirements Requires a master's degree in social work from a recognized school of social work supplemented by three years of supervised post master's clinical social work practice and possession of a clinical social worker's license from the Department of Professional Regulation. Requires thorough knowledge of the theories and assumptions underlying the social work field. Requires ability to make clinical judgments regarding a recipient's competency and defend same in court testimony. Requires ability to prepare complex written and oral reports.
