Application Support Tech Intern (K0231411) Office of Information Technology Services This position would be responsible for analyzing and document complex computer systems for customers and EBIT. Develop routine program diagrams and flow charts and assisting with maintenance and documentation of programs. May assist in the design of programs and/or provide technical input on preliminary phases of applications programming and/or writing of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation. May coordinate the display of graphics and the production of documents. Assist in coding, testing, and debugging of application programs, process and web sites. Assist in creating testing scripts and procedures to assist customers with user acceptance testing and developers with QC checks prior to the release of builds to customers for user acceptance testing. Create instruction and/or training manuals for applications, processes. Train customers in the use of vendor and state created applications. Perform other duties as assigned including serving as a member of the KDHE Disaster Response Team as needed to assure the agency's public and environmental health response is adequately staffed during and immediately following natural and/or manmade disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and/or acts of terrorism. Minimum Requirements: Must be a current student enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State. Preferred Criteria: * Experience in program development and maintenance * Experience in program design * Experience in graphics * Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access * Proofreading,editing,attention to detail Salary: $12.00 hourly; can vary depending upon experience and qualifications.
