When an opportunity is ready to be scaled, acquisition or licensing through the best partners are options to continue to advance the technology and to deliver it to consumers and patients around the globe.

Working alongside the Early Innovation Partnering team at the Boston Innovation Center, you will gain the understanding of the steps/ process required to advance an opportunity within a pharma/ biotech environment; build scientific and business development experience; interact with broad, cross-functional diligence and deal teams to understand key stakeholders and roles/responsibilities; you could also take ownership of a focused activity required to advance the opportunity, such as:

• Running a competitive landscape of companies/technologies relevant to a prioritized Oncology project
• Collating relevant data and resources to facilitate efficient scientific diligence of assets, technologies, or platforms
• Preparing slide decks for approval presentations
• Co-managing external innovation team sites

Additionally, this position will offer a chance to create relationships inside J&J and externally, and increase communication skills through regular engagement with colleagues and experts. You will be a part of the broader, dynamic JJI organization with exposure to a broad range of transactions and activities associated with working in External Innovation in a rich local ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be pursuing a graduate level degree in oncology, immunology, biology, or other related fields, or biological engineering. Applicants will have an opportunity for on-the-job growth and learn how strategic, scientific and business considerations play into deal making with external partners.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Candidate must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment

Our address is 255 Main St (7th floor), Cambridge, MA, across from the Kendall/MIT T-station on the Red Line. J&J offers hybrid work options.

Remote-work

For ability to work remotely as needed, the company will provide a lap top and access to virtual collaboration and meeting technologies.
