PURPOSE: 

Responsible for reviewing, processing, and managing data and documents, both regulatory and research records.  Works collaboratively to ensure that the data and documents are collected and managed clearly, accurately and securely. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Applying knowledge of federal regulations, WH Research Standard Operating Procedures, and individual protocol assist in collecting subject research data
• Assist with collection of all required data as per protocol
• Maintaining confidentially of data and PHI as required
• Maintains stock of lab kits for protocol specific visits
• Conducts protocol specified laboratory tests and ships specimens as directed per protocol
• Educates subjects on content of informed consent after ICF has been completed and documented by a senior member of the Research Team

OTHER DUTIES: 

• All other duties as assigned by Research Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

 REQUIRED:

•  Active CMA or RMA Certification from accredited association
• Successfully completed and passed an accredited Associates Degree program in Medical Assisting or an accredited CMA program
• Work processing, Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
• Effective Interpersonal and Communication skills
• Good organization skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and use critical thinking skills related to research
• Desire to become a member of the WH Research Department

PREFERRED: 

• One-year clinical experience
• Experienced in vaccine administration
• Past research experience, preferred, but not required
