    Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance to be located in Añasco, PR.

    The Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance is responsible for the reliable and complaint of the Facilities and Utilities Operations thru the Integrated Facilities Management model that includes the Hard and Soft Services (i.e. Utilities, janitorial, pest control and landscaping, handyman, Cafeteria and Security services). Also, responsible for Facilities Business Continuity, and support to Strategic projects and Capital Investment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise one or more J&J regular employees.
    • Provide technical support with the changes in the impacted areas according to GMP and EHS&S regulatory requirements.
    • Acts as Utilities Subject Matter Expert (SME) for area improvements, deviations and investigations evaluation, regulatory and compliance audits, and capital justification. Also, supporting the FM Service Provider. SME in utilities systems including but not limited to HVAC, dikes and secondary containment, WWTP, diesel storage and distribution, electrical systems, potable and purified water systems, boilers, compressed air, etc.
    • Oversight of FM Service Provider daily permeance and Site operational opportunities participating in the Tier 1 and Supervisor meetings as applicable. Identify recurrent opportunities in Site assets/ systems impacting Site operation, assign a root cause and create plan to mitigate/ eliminate the opportunity.
    • Oversight of FM Service Provider the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance is performed in the areas of responsibility to maintain them in good functioning to comply with production requirements.
    • Support developing, managing, and controlling the budget of the area of responsibility to comply with corporate standards.
    • Provide technical support to the FM Service Provider to maintain the operating procedures of the area of responsibility up to date and oversight the FM Service Provider for the strict compliance.
    • Support participating in IFM Governance Meetings and Processes including monthly SMT, inspections and similar.
    • Oversight of FM Service Provider during subcontracted jobs in the area of responsibility to ensure compliance with the established requirements and company policies, as applicable.
    • Collects data and prepares periodic reports for management on operational data including but not limited to energy consumption, water, steam and diesel consumption KPI and efficiency per system (CHW, RHW, Comp Air, Steam, Water).
    • Provide support of the delivery and financial spending of Capital Projects as required by the projected financial cycle, safely and on time. Responsible as area owner of the project scope definition, technical support, aligned with the long-range plan.
    • Supports major process and facilities projects, including conducting project team meetings as applicable.
    • Actively participates in the development of strategic plans for the operation of the business, department and for the plant.
    • Supports in the installation, qualification, and validation of production equipment to be incorporated into the Manufacturing and/or Engineering Department.
    • Performs inspections inside and outside the facility to identify situations that may affect the proper functioning of the plant.
    • Organizes, maintains, and updates drawings of physical plant, mechanical, electrical, and equipment manuals for further reference when repairing the equipment.
    • Ensures compliance with the ISO14001 Standards by reviewing the operation of the utilities systems.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is required.

    Experience and skills

    Required:

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in Maintenance, Equipment Engineering, and/or Process Machinery area in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry, in a GMP product manufacturing plant environment.
    • Basic management & supervision of both in-house and contracted personnel.
    • Technical knowledge of facilities management or related fields.
    • Compliance Knowledge (GMP, EHS, and other regulatory standards/regulations).
    • Able to read schematics and drawings.
    • Bilingual (Spanish & English)

    Preferred:

    • Experience in Quality Systems (CAPA, investigations, regulatory agencies audits, among others)
    • Facilities management and project engineering experience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills.
    • Must be a self-starter, able think outside the box, challenge the norm and drive change.
    • Ability in change management and to collaborate and build strong partnerships internally/externally with customer focus.

    Other:

    • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project, and other specialty software as required.
    • This position may require up to 10% of domestic and/or international travel.
