    Job Position Summary

    Reporting to Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Procurement for Neurovascular, the Procurement Manager will be a key leader in driving a fully integrated best in class procurement program within Neurovascular. This leader is expected to provide hands-on leadership in multiple aspects of global sourcing to new product development, cost reduction innovative solutions, business finance and supply chain material reliability. They will lead supplier selection process for new products and provide overall coordination/facilitation of programs that will drive best in practice to leverage J&J’s position in direct material categories. In addition, this role will shape the sourcing strategy for recently launched products to enhance supply reliability and improve gross profit. They will lead a sustainable governance to address raw material reliability issues/constraints that are part of the dynamic supply chain environment. They will lead a strategy for long-term innovative cost improvement projects and will partner with financial stakeholders to ensure metrics for material market movement, part price variances, and costs not in standard are met.

    The responsibilities & the impact you will have:

    • Lead Neurovascular NPD group and stakeholders in the selection, evaluation, and qualification of suppliers of materials including Electrical Components, Plastics, Metals, Chemicals, Packaging, External Manufacturing, and selected services for all assigned projects.
    • Lead multiple complex supplier negotiations simultaneously. Coordinate with key stakeholders, drive terms that are favorable for Neurovascular and hand off stabilized products, contracts, and suppliers to base business sourcing teams.
    • Will lead the MEP, siting and closing conversation with non-selected suppliers, will send out award letter for selected suppliers.
    • Support multiple NPD projects simultaneously for Neurovascular with several global procurement categories, and geographies around the world.
    • Partner with senior leadership in R&D to identify supplier unmet needs and drive the execution of sourcing strategies for the Neurovascular product roadmap.
    • Drive strategic/sustainable cost improvement solutions/projects to ensure Neurovascular meets its long-term GP targets and financial resilience through its supplier base
    • Partner with Finance Teams to ensure financial metrics like part price variance, market movement, and costs not in standard are met.
    • Optimize quality, supply reliability, innovation, and cost through early supplier engagement during product development.
    • Partner with multifunctional stakeholders like PP&L, Regulatory, Quality, R&D, Global Strategic Marketing, Engineering, Life Cycle Management, NPD and others to ensure material reliability challenges driven by suppliers are resolved and sustainable solutions are implemented
    • Performs other duties assigned as needed

    We would love to hear from you, if you have the following requirements:

    Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s and/or University degree is required; Advanced degree preferred.

    Required:

    • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional work experience
    • Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain/Operations, Quality, R&D or Engineering field
    • Experience in Medical Devices or related industry
    • Strong communication, influencing, negotiating, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to engage at the leadership level with both Suppliers and within J&J
    • Ability to analyze components and raw materials sourcing requirements
    • Proven ability to influence/collaborate
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Preferred:

    • Professional (APICS, ISM, Six Sigma) Certification
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive projects to successful completion.
    • Adaptable to meet rapidly changing priorities

    Other:

    • May require up 10% to 30% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites.
