Certified Phlebotomy Technician - Evening Shift The Laboratory Phlebotomist will assist the Clinical Laboratory Technologist by performing venipuncture and micro collection techniques for all age groups including newborns, infants, toddlers, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. Functions including appropriately identifying, labeling and processing all samples. The Phlebotomist will comply with all regulations as defined by the laws and regulations relating to Clinical Laboratores from the State of California Business and Professions Code and the California Code of Regulations. Serving Merced County Westside area with 48 acute care beds, the facility is part of Memorial Hospitals Association and Sutter Health, a not-for-profit organization that exists to maintain and improve the health status of citizens in its geographic area. Memorial Hospital Los Banos provides and promotes effective inpatient and outpatient health care services including 24-hour Emergency Care, a Rural Health Clinic, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Diagnostic Imaging, and Intensive Care Unit and Physical Therapy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High School graduate or equivalent. * Phlebotomy certification from California Dept. of Health, Laboratory Field Services as required by California. * Minimum six (6) months data entry/computer experience. * Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communication in English to the degree required to perform the job.
