    We are searching for the best talent for TDS DPD & D Protein Formulations Co-Op to be in Malvern, PA

    • 1 vacancy is currently available.
    • The Co-op term is six months typically from January to June, 2027 (flexible).
    • Full time requirement (40 hours per week) Fully On-site.

    Purpose:

    Support the Drug Product Development & Delivery (DPD&D) team in the development and characterization of protein-based drug products by conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and chipping in to formulation and stability studies. The Co-op will gain hands-on experience with biologics, formulation science, experimental design, and analytical characterization techniques within a pharmaceutical R&D environment.

    You will be responsible:

    • Learning formulation techniques to prepare and compound drug products for stability studies.
    • Utilizing analytical characterization tools such as micro-flow imaging, dynamic light scattering, turbidity measurements, and protein concentration analysis.
    • Applying Design of Experiments (DoE) principles to evaluate formulation variables and understand relationships between excipient degradation, enzyme type, enzyme concentration, and formulation conditions.
    • Analyzing and interpreting experimental data using analytical and statistical methods.
    • Participating in technical discussions and weekly meetings with internal and external collaborators.
    • Maintaining laboratory notebooks and technical documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
    • Supporting research activities related to protein formulation development and drug product characterization.
    • Providing additional project support and contributing to team objectives as needed.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
    • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
    • You must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates specified for this position.
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields.
    • Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of the Co-op assignment.
    • Previous laboratory experience with at least three (3) months in a chemistry, biology, or engineering laboratory is required.
    • Basic laboratory skills and prior experience in research, experimental design, execution, and data analysis are preferred.
    • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred.
    • Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be a self-starter who can work independently while contributing to team goals.
    • Proven leadership and/or participation in campus organizations, student programs, or community service activities is desired.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require sponsorship now or in the future.

    Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
