Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for assessing staffing needs, scheduling nursing personnel, generating staffing management reports, maintaining records and documentation. This position is responsible for assisting in quality service, internal and external customer relations for Tabitha, Inc. and subsidiaries as a whole, including upholding the mission and standards of the facility. This position is responsible for delivery of quality service, promoting good public relations and for upholding the mission and standards of the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Demonstrates commitment to Tabithas Crew Code of conduct. Assists in developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing nursing staffing schedules, policies, and procedures. Monitors and adjusts schedule to ensure compliance with staffing costs and budget requirements including eliminating outside agency staff, on-staff overtime and breaches of the Nursing Department staffing policies. Assists with making corrections/adjustments to time clock at direction of individual employees. Maintains a positive working relationship with staff, clients, families, and other departments. Maintains and monitors personnel files of nursing staff, forwarding file to human resource department when employee terminates. Follow established safety and infection control policies and procedures governing lifting techniques, repetitive tasks, hand washing, and the use of safety equipment and supplies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses. Assure optimum work performance by being to work on time, as scheduled, and/or providing appropriate advance notification. Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in the facility. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor. NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinates the distribution of nursing staff paychecks. Performs clerical functions for nursing department upon request. Assists communications department in receiving and directing calls. Collates and delivers report sheets and staff interoffice mail to appropriate nursing floors daily. Qualifications LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION None required. EDUCATION/TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in related field preferred. One year health care staffing experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to be pleasant, courteous and patient with a clear, pleasing voice. Must have the ability to work well under pressure. Must have basic computer keyboard skills. Computer experience required. Good oral and written communication skills required. This position requires self-motivation and self-direction. WORKING CONDITIONS Sitting for long periods of time. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB Requires little physical exertion except when making deliveries to floors. Good hearing is important. EQUIPMENT OPERATION Continuous use of: telephone. Frequent use of: computer. Occasional use of: adding machine/calculator copier.
