    POSITION SUMMARY

The Child Development Center (CDC) Teacher is responsible for implementing procedures required by the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) for operating a Type III early learning center. This position plans, develops, and executes developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the cognitive, social-emotional, language, physical, and creative development of children.

CDC Teachers may serve in one of three role tiers — Infant Teacher, Classroom Teacher, or Lead Teacher — and are expected to collaborate across classrooms to ensure staffing continuity, licensing compliance, and consistent child supervision. All teachers must utilize age-appropriate practices aligned with LDOE Bulletin 137 and the developmental needs of the assigned age group.

    MISSION ALIGNMENT

All Providence House employees are expected to embody the organization’s mission — to move families from homelessness to independence — and demonstrate the core values of compassion, accountability, excellence, and collaboration in all aspects of their work.
