    Job Description

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a Product Development Tech for our Brea, CA facility. This person contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks and develops solutions to routine technical problems of specified scope. Their contacts are primarily with immediate supervisors, project leaders, and other professionals in the unit.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
    • Produces engineering documents, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics).
    • Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis.
    • Provides completion of technical tasks.
    • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
    • Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications.
    • Works with teams on general lab functions; including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance.
    • Notifies manager or team leader upon recognition of factors that may affect project.
    • Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups.
    • Executives designed test protocol and conducted testing.
    • Effective documents and communication test results.
    • Handles test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma, experience in a lab environment (corporate or school) or technician experience in a regulated environment for a minimum of 3 years, experience following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team.
    • Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures.
    • The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group and communicate effectively with the lab team and extended team members.
    • Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
    • Proficiency in personal computers.
    • Ability to train lower-level technicians.
