    JJT CO-OP PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    Our JJT Co-op Program is a comprehensive learning and professional experience in the technology space at one of the world’s leading health care companies. Your application and area of interest will be used to determine which one of our many exciting positions best fit for you. Co-op positions are full-time opportunities expecting to last 6 months (June 2022 – December 2022) Based on business needs, co-op could be either in-person or virtual. Our in-person positions are available at various J&J locations throughout the US. This program also works as a feeder pool to our Information Technology Leadership Development Program (ITLDP) for full-time employment upon completion of your degree. Your position may involve a range of technology assignments. Below are a few examples of the types of experiences you can expect:  

    DATA & ANALYTICS/DATA SCIENCE

    Analytics co-op will have the opportunity to work with various aspects of Johnson & Johnson's business collecting data, analyzing, and applying machine learning techniques to derive insights for business partners. They will also help build analytical applications that work with large data sets. 

    SOFTWARE ENGINEERING 

    Creating applications for Android, iOS and web for our different operating companies and business units, including Bio-Sensor and Device Integration. Utilize a variety of platforms, including PHP, SQL/MySQL, UX, Java/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Symfony2, Jira, GreenHopper, Crucible, Sonar, Subversion, AJAX, Spring & Hibernate. 

    CORPORATE TECHNOLOGY 

    The co-op will be working within the J&J Corporate Business Technology (CBT) Organization.  CBT provides global technology capabilities to J&J's Corporate functions, including Finance, HR, Procurement, Legal, IT, Compliance, Real Estate, etc. The Enterprise Project Management Office team manages the investment portfolio of all Technology projects globally and provides status, trends, health and metrics to executive leadership. 

    RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT 

    This position will focus on development and delivery of Digital Health programs and initiatives within Janssen Pharma R&D IT.  The candidate will research, pilot, and implement a variety of mHealth opportunities across multiple platforms, including biosensors, health tracking, and mobile devices. The candidate will be responsible for researching and piloting Digital Health technologies, including existing services within J&J and emerging services. 

    SUPPLY CHAIN IT 

    This position will focus on enabling and build technology pipeline, data analysis, and continuous process improvement in the supply chain organization.

    EXPERIENCE DESIGN

    Work as a member of a technology product team to conduct initial user research, shape the product vision and goals based on business and user insights, design desirable and intuitive experiences, develop wireframes and visual designs, and iteratively validate solutions with users.

    MOST ASSIGNMENTS WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work within specialized groups in the J&J Technology organization to build solutions for business partners and drive value
    • Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated technology area
    • Work with key stakeholders to accomplish goals and objectives to support the J&J Technology project/program portfolio
    • Build awareness and experience of key capability skills in support of the J&J Technology Strategy
    • Conduct data and process analysis to support development of key solutions

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    FOR CONSIDERATION IN THE JJT FALL 2022 CO-OP PROGRAM, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future (F1 or H1B requires sponsorship in future)
    • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework. 
    • Be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. 
    • Preferred fields include Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering / Development, Data Science, or Mathematics.
    • Ability to work full time (40 hours a week) June 2022 through December 2022
    • Maximum work experience of up to one year (EXCLUDING internships, co-ops, and military).
    • Commit to a June 2022 Co-Op start date 
    • Have a passion for a career in technology
    • Must have completed Freshmen year by May 2022
