Position Summary: The TechSoup People & Culture team is searching for a human resources professional who specializes in talent acquisition and would like to learn other areas of HR. This small team supports a global organization of 200+ staff members. This individual will assist with the execution and delivery of value-added HR services, including but not limited to: recruiting, onboarding, off boarding, retention analysis and reporting. The People & Culture Generalist will develop effective relationships that promote company-wide trust and position the People & Culture department as a strategic business partner. This position will start out as a part-time temporary position, up to 30 hours per week. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition (60%) * Will execute the full cycle recruitment process including: posting, sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, negotiating offers, and marketing TechSoups values * Work with the People & Culture team and hiring managers to clarify job specifications and recruitment strategies to fill current and future hiring needs and modify job descriptions as appropriate * Utilize our ATS (JazzHR), LinkedIn Recruiter, Glassdoor, employee referrals and networking to identify and contact qualified applicants for positions * Develop new sources to identify and proactively build a talent pool * Generate regular reporting and analysis of recruiting efforts relating to workforce planning * Proactively identify affirmative action/diversity recruitment sources; ensure diversity sources are part of the overall recruitment strategy, support affirmative action/diversity initiatives * Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the recruitment process; ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance Onboarding / Off boarding (25%): * Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation; coordinate the buddy program * Process new employees, collects required forms, sets up electronic files in ADP * Captures contractor agreements, forms, and waivers * Ensure all appropriate documentation and training is completed and processed timely and accurately * Implement a tracking system for new employees first three months of hire * Design and develop process improvements relating to quarterly new hire orientation * Conduct exit interviews and process terminated employees in ADP Administration (15%) * Recommend and make improvements to current processes, forms, and reports * Maintain and update personnel information, including org charts, intranet site, and employee information packets * Generate promotion, performance, and offer letters * Manage digital file system and create protocols for keeping files up to date Qualifications: Education and/or Experience * 4-year college degree preferably in an HR-related field, and/or equivalent background * A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in human resources is preferred; 1-2 years specifically focused on recruiting is required * Prior use of JazzHR and ADP Workforce Now (or similar platforms) preferred but not required Skills * Demonstrated knowledge regarding how to find and attract talent using many platforms * Knowledge of internal recruitment processes and procedures * Deep understanding of labor law and employment equity regulations * Ability to thrive in ambiguity; can navigate through a complex, multi-faceted organization with multiple stakeholders * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and information * Self-Starter; results oriented and motivated professional * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to proactively communicate and build partnerships internally and externally at all levels
