This new network will include all Baptist Health System hospitals, Tenets Brookwood Medical Center and each organizations related businesses. Under the joint venture arrangement, Tenet will be the majority partner and will manage the networks operations. The new company will unite Baptist Health Systems four hospitals: Citizens Baptist Medical Center, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, and Walker Baptist Medical Center, with Brookwood Medical Center. Together, the new system will have more than 1,700 licensed beds; 77 outpatient and physician office facilities, including clinics delivering primary and specialty care; approximately 7,300 employees and approximately 1,500 affiliated physicians. Walker Baptist Medical Center Walker Baptist Medical Center is a 267-bed acute care facility in Jasper, Alabama, with more than 600 employees. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of clinical services, including obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedics, emergency services, pain center and a Senior Care Unit, in addition to specialized medical and surgical care. Walker BMC joined the health ministry of Baptist Health System in 1995.Serving an area covering Walker, Winston, Marion and Fayette counties, Walker BMC was the first hospital built in Alabama with all private rooms.Walker Baptist Medical Center has more than 100 qualified physicians on staff representing over 20 specialties. Reporting Relationships The Hospital Compliance Officer reports directly to a Group Compliance Officer for the Alabama, Tennessee and Missouri Group. The Group Compliance Officer reports directly to the Vice President and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer of Tenet Healthcare Corporation. - HCO Responsibilities - Establish a regular schedule of visitation, rounding and feedback sessions at assigned facilities. - Participate as a member of the facility executive team (A-Team) to ensure compliance support is readily available for facility leaders. - Work in consultation with facility Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer to review CEO reports, annual business plans, Monthly Operating Reports (MOR), etc., to provide compliance oversight and direction related to facility initiatives. - Lead facility Compliance Committee meetings consistent with Charter and department standard operating procedure requirements. - Intake and coordinate with Investigations Team related to investigation of compliance matters. - Prepare and deliver facility-specific training and education in response to facility needs and requests, investigations of compliance matters, and identified risk areas. - Oversee facility auditing and monitoring activities, including quarterly referral source audits, annual facility reviews/walkthrough, and other compliance auditing activities as necessary. - Conduct annual compliance risk assessments as outlined in department standard operating procedures. - Present semi-annual reports to the facilitys Governing Board and conduct annual Governing Board training as required by the Charter. - Perform additional duties as assigned. Compensation A competitive compensation program will be tailored to the selected candidate. Base salary will be supplemented by a performance bonus and comprehensive, well-rounded benefits program, which includes relocation assistance. The performance bonus is based on the performance of Tenet as reflected in its Balanced Scorecard rather than the performance of the Hospital. - Qualifications: Education/Certifications A Bachelors degree required is required, and a Masters degree is preferred. - Strong preference for at least three to five years of experience in the healthcare industry (or equivalent experience). - Other success factors include past clinical, legal, auditing or other compliance experience.
