This position will be scheduled for (3) 12-hour Overnight shifts including some weekends at both facilities. Qualified Registered Nurses must possess clinical competencies in at least 2 areas for the Market Float Pool. - Under the supervision of the Area Manager and Director, the Float Pool RN II is defined as a critical care nurse that is competent in the critical care setting to coordinate and provide complex care to patients utilizing advanced skills for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Critical care involves specialty areas with advanced training including ICU, CVICU, ER, Cath Lab, IR, GI Lab, PACU, OR, CVSD, L&D, NICU and MRT. The Float Pool RN II will be required to float between 2 specialty areas at both facilities in accordance with the Float Pool Staffing Agreement and hospital policy. - Summary This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Qualifications: - Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing - Experience: A minimum of 1 year hospital-based experience in two or more nursing specialties (Critical Care, ED, Cath Lab, OB, Nursery, OR, etc.) Licensure/Certifications: Current RN license to practice in the state of TN. American Heart Association issued BLS certification prior to start date. ACLS & PALS preferred, depending on unit assigned. CPI to be obtained during hospital Orientation, depending on unit assigned.
