    General Summary

    The Physician Clinic Manager is responsible for directing the operations of Outpatient Clinics and Procedure Suite services at the main campus location. This dynamic opportunity The Manager commits to and attains high standards of excellence and innovation

    Principal Responsibilities

    1. Manages the clinical operations of the outpatient clinic services and procedure suite at the Shirley Ryan Abilitylab main campus clinics. This includes, but is not limited to the 15 S, 15 N, 18 Pediatrics, and Procedure Suite. Compiles analyses and reports on operations and functions as appropriate.

    2. Develops and recommends objectives contributory to fulfillment of the annual strategic plan. Develops and implements action plans appropriate to assure completion of service objectives.

    3. Establishes and delivers on annual program goals in conjunction with Director

    4. Anticipates changes in the reimbursement environment.  Works with other clinical managers and finance to identify the impact of such changes and recommends actions to be taken.

    5. Develops annual budget proposal according to budget development plan. Operates according to approved budget and appropriate operating targets.  Directs the processes necessary to assure and monitor cost efficiency.

    6. Provides leadership to a multi-disciplinary treatment team.

    7. Collaborates with medical director and attending physicians to review, problem-solve and act to assure that services meet organizational expectations.

    8. Monitors quality of patient care and rehabilitation services delivered to patients in area(s) of responsibility.  Oversees the analysis, review and action planning resulting from outcomes and satisfaction reports for outpatient services.  Oversees the QI process for services.

    9. Recruits staff required to accomplish organizational objectives and management.  In the spirit of continuous learning, develops growth plans, provides opportunity for skill development, coaches, and evaluates performance of reporting staff.

    10. Participates in the development of an annual marketing plan with marketing representatives. Implements and reports about the implementation of the plan and its results.  Collaborates with managed care team to develop managed care contracting strategies.

    11. Assures compliances with regulatory, reimbursement and accreditation requirements as well as SRAlab policies and procedures.  Participates and collaborates with clinical program and professional practice groups in order to assure appropriate quality care.

    12. Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of organization.

    Reporting Relationships

    1. Report directly to Assigned Administrative Director

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

     

    1. Minimum of a Bachelors Healthcare Administration, or related field; Masters preferred.

    2. Current Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Illinois is preferred.  

    3. Two to three years progressively responsible related clinical/business work experience in an appropriate specialty area including supervisory or managerial experience preferred with demonstrated ability to organize, develop and effectively manage a clinical business unit.

    4. Demonstrated leadership ability in managing a progressive health care delivery team.

    5. Knowledge of managed care.

    6. Demonstrated knowledge and analytical capability in revenue and expenses.

    7. Demonstrated ability to direct service growth and development.

    8. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and to build efficient working teams.
