Job Overview: The Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology seeks a highly motivated clinical research intern to assist with the research of Dr. Joanne Rogin. Dr. Rogin specializes in epilepsy both in her clinical practice and in her research efforts. The intern will work closely with Dr. Rogin, the clinical research coordinator on site, and the patient care coordinator at the Golden Valley location. II. Key Accountabilities: * Ability to commit 4-8 hours per week September 2018-August 2019. * Ability to commute to Golden Valley, MN. Reliable transportation is a must. III. Key Responsibilities: * Clinic and study-specific trainings * Data collection and data entry * Opportunity for hands-on patient contact * Opportunity to attend meetings with sponsors and investigator * Administrative tasks as assigned IV. Education and Experience: This internship is designed for an undergraduate student or recent college graduate who is pursing a career in medicine, research, or the sciences. A high level of interest in medicine is a must. Interest in neurology is a plus. CITI training and/or medical terminology training is a plus. Prior experience with bench and/or clinical research is desired. V. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. * Patient centered; strong customer service orientation. * Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and troubleshoot and resolve problems. * Ability to work independently, exhibit mature judgment and make sound decisions. * Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion. * Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. This internship is unpaid and is ideal for school credit.
