    Job Description

    The Vice President, Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, will be responsible for supporting data-driven decisions across all business units, including Clinical, Talent, Finance, Accounting, Development, and Operations. As Vice President, Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, you will provide thought leadership on how the organization captures, manages, defines, disseminates, and utilizes the wealth of data collected across various data sources and transactional systems. This role will ensure that data is transformed into actionable information that drives programmatic and administrative insights. The role demands strong thought leadership as well as excellent communication, relationship building, and robust problem-solving.

    The Vice President, Business Intelligence & Data Analytics will be a strategic leader that partners with leaders across Thresholds’ programs and administrative functions with the goal of developing a best-in-class BI and analytics capability that will allow it to optimize effectiveness and impact. The objective for this leader is to employ the right data strategy, platform, systems, and actions to position Thresholds as a center of excellence within the social services sector for leveraging data to achieve its mission.

    The Vice President, Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, will define the data vision and take ownership for enterprise-wide governance and utilization of data as an asset to drive Thresholds’ member and community impact. Leveraging research, design methods and influence, this leader will align departments, processes, technology, and program partners to improve the value and application of the agency's data, data strategy, and data reporting.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Leads the strategic development and implementation of a mission-aligned enterprise-wide unified business intelligence and analytics program based on the foundation of a cloud-enabled architecture for storage, transformation, and data warehouse that includes business unit operational dashboards, an executive management scorecard and prepares the organization for analytics.

    · Takes ownership of championing an organization wide culture of data as an asset and providing data literacy opportunities.

    · Leads and guides the Data Governance Committee to identify business intelligence, policy, compliance, and security requirements and develops an implementation roadmap.

    · Works with internal and external stakeholders across all business units and serves as an in-house subject matter expect to lead the use of data to make informed business decisions, champion and rally the organization towards a common business intelligence approach.

    · Partners with various departments across the organization to understand their data needs and deliver the data in a manner that the department can easily access, understand thoroughly, and leverage to make decisions to improve their functions and processes and drive impact.

    · Aligns data dependencies across systems of record for data governance. Oversees member (patient) data governance and supporting master data; collaborates on member privacy and data security with relevant stakeholders.

    · Ensures technical documentation of systems architecture, processes, integrations and extract, transform and load processes and other elements are up to date and accurate.

    · Evolves and matures agency’s data technology solutions to best serve the organization.

    · Ensures data processes and systems run smoothly and on schedule. Continuously looks for opportunities for automation and improvement to simplify support work.

    · Oversees and manages the information in the data warehouse and other critical data sources

    · Leads the project management lifecycle for business intelligence and analytics projects from conception through completion that includes assessing business requirements, scoping and planning projects and initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, tracking and reporting project status, managing deliverables, and assessing customer satisfaction.

    · Responsible for the development of best practices and guidelines for existing or new technologies within the area of business intelligence.

    · Represents the Business Intelligence team as an expert or resource to cross-functional project or coordinating teams and reports to senior management on the team’s production, activities, and efforts.

    · Establishes succinct and well-defined business metrics and analytics structures that are used to measure/manage the business and drive performance

    · Performs other related duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION

    · Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent required (Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science)

    · Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, or Informatics preferred, but not required

    EXPERIENCE

    · Experience leading, building and managing enterprise shared services related to business intelligence and analytics

    · Solid foundational understanding of data informatic and analytics, data applications, and technologies platforms, and data solution architectures

    · 5+ Years of experience across a mix of roles in enterprise analytics, business intelligence and operational strategy

    · 5+ Years of experience implementing analytics in at least one business intelligence tool (Tableau, Power BI...)

    · 5+ Years people management experience

    · Expertise in current data warehousing concepts (using technologies like Snowflake, Synapse, data build tool (dbt), Redshift, Spark, etc) to support business-driven decisions

    • Experience designing data models for analytics and reporting purposes.
