MISSION / SUMMARY: Position leads daily maintenance activity in support of Wood mill/Recycle area.

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

• The Wood mill broke Supervisor directly supervises 5 - 20 hourly employees and must possess the ability to manage by key performance indicators.  This role actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S and lean manufacturing programs by ensuring goals are met within the department.

• The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for maintenance work scheduling, leading maintenance mechanics on monthly outages and daily maintenance activities. These activities include equipment repairs and preventive maintenance audits of mill equipment.  The maintenance supervisor will also be responsible for the coordination with production colleagues to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks. The supervisor will strive to eliminate equipment failures, participate in root cause failure analysis, and comply with all required Environmental, Health and Safety rules and regulations.

• Safe work execution will be promoted through daily safety toolbox meetings with the crew, monthly safety meetings, and ensuring the crew receives all required safety training. The Supervisor will be required to perform rotating weekend maintenance on-call duty for Wood mill broke, Power, Recovery, Kraft and Caustic areas.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of mechanical maintenance supervisory experience in related industries is required.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
