    The Corporate Clinical Excellence Consultant functions as educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher, exercising nursing knowledge and skill, and following principles of adult learning to develop and maintain clinical competency of care providers.  The Consultant works in conjunction with unit leaders to identify and prioritize learning needs, and develop and implement plans to address needs and evaluate outcomes of interventions including: skill and competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development, team facilitation. As facilitators and role models, Consultants foster a culture of professional nursing as they meet the needs of diverse groups and operations within TMC.

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
    2. Masters of Science in Nursing, Adult Education, or other relevant specialty.
    3. Current state of Missouri License as a Registered Nurse
    4. Current BCLS provider certification – must maintain current status for continued employment
    5. If applicable to area of specialty, ACLS provider
    6. If applicable to area of specialty, BCLS Instructor
    7. If applicable to area of specialty, ACLS Instructor
    8. Instructor certification current status as applicable to area of specialty
    9. Five to seven (5-7) years clinical experience in an area of specialty.
    10. Computer literacy to navigate electronic medical records and education records systems, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
    11. Competent operating audiovisual equipment.
    12. Effective collaboration, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict resolution and written and verbal communication skills.
    13. Self-motivation to work independently.
    14. Flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and shift priorities as needed.
    15. Skilled at presentation and teaching/coordination of educational courses.

     PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. RN Specialty Certification in Nursing Education and area of specialty
    2. Experience leading adult learning (within the past three (3) years).
