Provides leadership for staff and accountability for assigned operations.  In conjunction with the unit leadership, works to improve the clinical education, professional development, training programs, and staff competencies to promote quality of patient care, strengthens the financial performance of the department, and improve patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.  Serves as a role model and provides clinical expertise to the department. Demonstrates effective skills in communication, advocacy, and promoting a shared vision. Identifies safety concerns and institutes measures to provide a safe environment for patient and staff.

Required Skills

11. Demonstrated knowledge in principles of adult learning and best practices in teaching methodologies

Required Experience

1. Current California RN license
2. Current CPR certification
3. Clinical certifications preferred 
4. MSN or currently enrolled in MSN program
5. Two years clinical experience in an acute care facility
6. Two years of experience in education.
7. Previous Management experience preferred
