  • Responsibilities

    To retrieve finished goods for shipment. To store finished goods in the racks in the warehouse.  Be familiar with forklifts, stand-up lifts, etc.  Work closely with Warehouse Coordinator.  Apply SQF principles and techniques effectively.

     ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    1. Pull finished product out of racking system to be shipped and load it on trucks.
    2. Load finished goods into racking system once ready to be warehoused.
    3. Use barcode scanners to move finished goods to/from bin locations.
    4. Be proficient in operating forklifts, stand-up lifts, pallet jacks, etc. to move finished goods or other products around the warehouse.
    5. Data entry into the operating system as needed.
    6. Have an effective working relationship with the Shipping Manager and Warehouse Coordinator.
    7. Fill out trailer inspections before loading finished goods onto truck.
    8. Perform other related duties as directed by the Plant Manager/Shipping Manager/Warehouse Coordinator.

    Lifting and Carrying – required occasionally throughout the work day at an average pace.

    Items lifted/carried – boxes – some in strained positions.

    Maximum weight lifted/carried                             Up to 30 lbs.

    Pushing and Pulling – required occasionally throughout the work day at an average pace. 

    Maximum weight pushed/pulled                              Up to 50 lbs. of force

    OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Activity & Duration

    Walking - frequently about on foot

    Climbing - occasionally up and down ladders, stairs and ramps.

    Stooping - occasionally   bending downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.

    Crouching - occasionally bending downward and forward by bending legs and spine.

    Kneeling - occasionally bending knees or coming to rest on knees.

    Crawling - occasionally moving about on hands and knees.

    Activity & Duration – Left and Right Hand

    Simple reach upward – occasionally reaching up within normal range.

    Simple reach outward – frequent reaching out within normal range.

    Extended reach outward – occasional reaching out exceeding normal range.

    Simple grasp – frequent grasping without pressure (no fingering).

    Firm grasp – frequent grasping with pressure (no fingering).

    Fingering – frequent manipulating objects with fingers only.

    Machine hand controls – frequently using handles, knobs, or levers. 

    SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

    Activity & Duration

    Far vision – Frequent required to see object clearly beyond 20 feet.

    Near vision – Frequent required to see objects clearly within 20 inches.

    Depth Perception – Frequent required to judge distances and relationships between objects accurately.

    Field vision – Frequent required to see an area up and down or left and right with eyes fixed on one point.

    Hearing – Frequent required to perceive the nature of sounds by ear.

    Talking – Frequent required to express ideas through the spoken word (English)
