The cashier will record transactions for each meal, may assist in the portioning of food, and works under direct supervision. The cafeteria cashier must be able to demonstrate professional communication skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing while communicating with patients, customers, and fellow co-workers. The cashier is expected to greet all customers in a friendly outgoing manner.
