    The Housing Locator helps manage landlord relationships, assists with the development of housing partnerships, and provides education as needed.  The Housing Locator also assists with mediation, tenant lease compliance, and ensuring that clients are housed in appropriate locations.

    Required Skills

    1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work, public planning, business, development, urban planning or related field plus three years of relevant experience.
    2. Knowledge of federal, state and local community resources, key contacts, government entities, and various constituencies.
    3. Excellent communication skills including a high degree of professionalism and personal presence.
    4. Working knowledge of the principles and theories of mental health care and/or human services.
    5. If driving is a requirement for the employee, he/she must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and must continue to meet these requirements as a condition of employment

     Primary Contacts: Local landlords, Jackson County Continuum of Care, and property managers.
