    Job Description

    The Department of Audiology at Tufts Medical Center is seeking a full-time clinical Audiologist to join their growing team.  This position is Full Time, 40 hours per week, at the main campus located in downtown Boston, MA. The audiologist will be responsible for independently performing comprehensive audiologic services across the lifespan; however this position will focus on adult and geriatric populations. Applicants should have a strong interest in vestibular diagnostics and rehabilitation.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Independently evaluate and provide direct clinical services to patients who have hearing, balance, and related ear problems.
    • Interpret results and coordinate them with medical, and educational information to determine a course of treatment.
    • Evaluate auditory function of patients utilizing standard pure tone and speech tests, immittance tests, distortion product otoacoustic emissions, other site of lesion tests, including auditory brainstem response (ABR) evaluation.
    • Assessment of hearing aids and other amplification devices with verification techniques
    • Perform vestibular evaluations and interpret results and findings.
    • Contribute to the growth and expansion of the Audiology program ensuring that best practices are being followed.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Doctorate degree in Audiology (Au.D).
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Massachusetts license to practice Audiology.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
    • Experience with diagnostic audiologic testing of patients of all ages

    ​​​​​​​WORKING CONDITION/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Normal office work environment. Outpatient patient care area and occasional inpatient care area. No heavy lifting required.
