    Job Description

    HR Coordinator provides administrative and data entry support to the HR department. Interacts professionally with all internal customers served by the function they support. Assist the HR Team, when needed, in the overall development and delivery of HR programs and services designed to meet the needs of the Hospital. Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Coordinates and provides HR administrative and HRIS transactional support for the full employment cycle including but not limited to:
    • Administrative Duties
    • Create employee files and file documents into appropriate employee files
    • Audit of new hire/onboarding
    • Provides day-to-day administrative support to the RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) Team
    • Provides general HR support as requested
    • Makes photocopies; mails, faxes, scans, and email documents; and performs other clerical functions
    • Files documents into appropriate employee files
    • Provides backup for other HR Coordinators as needed
    • Assists or prepares correspondence
    • Coordination and Scheduling meetings as requested
    • Planning employee presentations and enrollments
    • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
    • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
    • Performs customer service functions by answering employee phone calls and email requests
    • Processes mail
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Address Changes
    • Employment Verifications
    • Inputting Pay Changes
    • Inputting Promotions/Demotions
    • Inputting Transfers (Employee and Department)
    • Terminations
    • Conducts HRIS validation audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action

    JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • Must be able to interact professionally with people from different backgrounds and cultures
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • General understanding of human resource principles, policies, practices and procedures
    • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Accuracy with information and attention to detail.
    • Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of work records

    EDUCATION:

    • Minimum Education: Associates Degree

    EXPERIENCE:

    • At least two years Human Resources experience required preferably supporting customers.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above, may be substituted for the ABOVE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Normal office work environment.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
