    Job Description

    This position supports the central operations of Research Administration including the Clinical Trials Office. The Research Project Coordinator provides a wide range of project management and administrative assistance to Clinical Trials Office and Grants & Contracts Office that are essential to the effective conduct of business, including reporting, compliance, and communications across the research community.

    • Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assists with data entry and performs quality checks on data entered in the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS).
    •  Assists with ancillary billing compliance and performs the initial review of research related charges in Epic.
    • Coordinates the activation process in the CTMS. Coordinates the execution and setup of clinical trial agreements, including collection of signatures, document upload to contracting system, account setup up, and Sponsor start up invoicing.
    • Maintains and regularly updates clinical trial database.
    • Designs and generates regular reports on clinical trial activity for Research Leadership.
    • Follows up with Sponsors on outstanding payments due.
    • Manages the stipend payment system for clinical trial participants, including account setup, study maintenance, and monthly debits to studies.
    • Processes monthly and annual institutional fees for industry clinical trials.
    • Ensures regular updating of required study results positing on Clinicaltrials.gov.
    • Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Experience in project management
    • Ability to successfully plan and organize an event
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with researchers, staff, administrators and customers. Outstanding customer service skills required.
    • Excellent organizational skills to manage work flow independently. Ability to prioritize quickly and appropriately.
    • Must be able to multitask.
    • Requires meticulous attention to detail with excellent data management and organizational skills

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Two or more years experience in an academic or medical research setting highly desirable. 
      • An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Typical office setting.
    • May access PHI/HIPAA identifiers as part of daily tasks.
