    Job Summary:

    The Human Resources Assistant works under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources on a variety of HR duties, including, but not limited to:

    • Supports the recruitment process by updating job descriptions, posting position openings internally and externally, reviewing applicant qualifications, scheduling and conducting telephone screens, scheduling formal interviews for hiring managers, gathering and filing interview documents, and follow up communications with candidates and hiring managers.
    • Supports the onboarding process by completing reference checks for viable candidates, extending job offers to applicants, obtaining signatures on job offer letters/bonus offer letters/job descriptions, scheduling new hire orientation, creating personnel files, generating new hire training checklists for managerial personnel, notifying Operations personnel to complete IT onboarding tasks, assigning and monitoring online training for new hires, initiating background studies, ordering supplies and making welcome bags for new hires.
    • Assists with preparation for and/or presentation of new hire orientation as requested.
    • Sends out benefits enrollment reminders to new hires and notifies new hires of eligibility to participate in 401(k) plan.
    • Tracks employee performance review due dates and sends reminders to managerial personnel regarding the completion of 30-60-90 Day and Annual Performance Reviews.
    • Assists with completion of Verification of Employment (VOE) documents.
    • Supports HR team with the planning/managing of internal and external events, as well as the administration of recognition and appreciation opportunities. Sends out work anniversary emails and coupons. Orders and disperses 90-Day fleece jackets.
    • Completes termination notices and initiates exit interviews. Re-files personnel files following terminations.
    • Provides clerical support to the HR department; scans and files documents as needed.
    • Maintains confidentiality of all records, conversations, documents related to employment, benefits, etc.
    • Assists with answering HR-related inquiries from employees.
    • Supports HR-related training programs, workshops, and seminars. Continuously learns the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.
    • Provides support to the HR team as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
    • Minimum of one year of previous HR experience required, including experience with applicant screening and hiring processes.
    • Experience working in confidential environments.

    Compensation & Work Schedule:

    • Full-time: 40 hours per week
    • Day Shift Monday – Friday; no evenings or weekends.
