UMFS is seeking an innovative and collaborative part time Foster Parent Recruiter in the Lynchburg area to develop and implement creative strategies and activities that lead to the identification and engagement of qualified new resource families for the Treatment Foster Care and Adoption programs. Local travel, as well as weekend and evening hours required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Conduct recruitment activities in the community to engage and enlist prospective resource families for foster care and adoption. Plan and conduct a three month pipeline of weekly resource family recruitment opportunities. Represent UMFS at meetings, promotional presentations and other events to recruit foster parents. Establish and maintain relationships with business, organizations, groups, vendors and individuals in the community through prospecting, cold calls and informational meetings. Work with Supervisor and the Marketing Department to develop advertising and printed material for outreach recruitment activities. Meet with Supervisor on an interval basis to confer, brainstorm, and problem-solve new ideas and barriers to recruitment for the center. Lead Quarterly Review meetings and participate in agency-wide recruiting skill-building meetings. Record and maintain data through Salesforce to measure the effectiveness of various recruitment efforts. Meet or exceed the established goal for inquiry calls per month and per fiscal year. Support the development and implementation of an ongoing retention plan for certified resource families in collaboration with the Treatment Foster Care and Adoption staff. Mobilize team, families, and volunteers to assist with special events for the treatment foster care and adoption recruitment. Monitor and maintain allocated recruitment budget. Support the Family Systems Coordinator or Family Systems Supervisor to approve an established number of new resource families on an annual basis. Provide evening and weekend support at recruitment activities and events. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree with two years sales or marketing experience or a combination of education and experience. Excellent public speaking skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of recruiting and retention programs, ability to independently plan and organize time and activities, experience in foster care recruitment or non-profit marketing a plus.
