PATIENT CARE INTERN PRN-UHTH PREPOST CATH PROCEDURES Department UHTH PREPOST CATH PROCEDURES(66012) Schedule 3G - PRN (ON-CALL) Shift ROTATING Hours 7P - 7:30A Job Details Job Details: The Patient Care Intern (PCI) assists patients with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The Patient Care Intern carries out designated activities that are within those functions according to unlicensed nursing personnel. This includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to patients, and assisting the maintenance of safe and clean environment. The Patient Care Intern also promotes customer service by interacting and responding to patients, visitors, and staff in an appropriate and professional manner. Qualifications: Candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited Associate or Baccalaureate Degree Nursing Program leading to a Registered Nurse degree. Would have completed successfully the minimum of the first nursing clinical course; Core Nursing Courses must represent passing scores and progression in degree completion is expected to maintain the position. Must be currently certified in the Health Care Provider CPR. Candidate must be proficient and accountable in computer skills as it relates to accurate charting and data entry. Can demonstrate ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
