    Rogers Behavioral Health, the area's leader in behavioral health services, is seeking a Inpatient Intake Specialist for our West Allis **** location. Are you empathetic and able to listen to and connect with people going through a difficult time? If yes, we would love to speak with you.

    Summary

    The Inpatient Intake Specialist is responsible for conducting assessments, determining eligibility, and guiding patients through the intake process.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate admission with patient and/or responsible representative to include admission information, directions, and information about the program they will be entering
    • Register patients within our Electronic Medical Records system
    • Explain insurance coverage to patients
    • Explain Rogers programs and services to family members
    • Collaborate with providers and other departments to ensure the patients needs are being met

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, human services, or a related discipline
    • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a health care setting; health information, admissions, utilization review, or patient billing
    • Customer service experience is required
    • Empathy and understanding towards patients’ needs and challenges, creating a supportive and caring environment
    • Understanding of managed care, Medicaid, and Medicare insurance is nice to have
    • Comfortable navigating electronic medical records
    • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen

    Shift:

    (2) 10 hour shifts

    20 hours a week

    Option: prefer weekends 11am-11pm preferred

    West Allis, WI

    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of accrual accounting in preparation and completion of assignments.
    • Ability to review, edit and discuss financial matters with supervisors.
    • Prepare written reports, calculate and interpret financial data and analyze financial accounts.
    • A self-starter with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage/meet multiple deadlines.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
