    At BMC, an excellent Billing Specialist keeps a sharp eye on the important details, ensuring accurate and efficient billing. This dependable team member prepares bills and invoices, calculates sales tickets and charge slips, and verifies billing with the accounts receivable ledger.

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assure timely billing of all Ready Frame and Special Billing Customers.

    Process all Ready Frame and Special billing orders.

    Investigate and verify all documentation is received to bill customers accurately.

    Maintain accurate and up to date files for all open Ready Frame and Special Billing projects.

    Make recommendations to improve quality of billing and delivery to customers for timely payment.

    Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement.

    1. Identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers.
    2. Participate as a team player in all phases of the organization.
    3. Open and responsive to change.

    Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

    Adhere to the Company’s safety standards and enforce safety regulations.

    Receives purchase orders and invoice customers for the Window Division.

    Required Skills

    1. Minimum Education: Associate's degree in related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations. 
    3. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. 
    4. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and to the general public.
    5. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    6. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    7. Requires use of tact to minimize unnecessary conflict in carrying out assignments, as well as exercising continuous judgment. 
    8. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

    Required Experience

    Minimum Experience:

    1. At least 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. Industry knowledge is preferred.
