TMC/UH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is the KC metro area’s largest, most comprehensive provider of mental health services. We also offer psychiatric inpatient care, and we deliver therapeutic services through our community outreach clinics. The SR Cook prepares food and supervises other cooks in the preparation of food for patients, cafeteria doctors, and special function. Food is prepared according to menus, production sheets and standardized recipes.

• High school diploma or GED for employees hired effective from May 1, 2006.
• Maintain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Two years experience in preparation of large quantities of food using standardized recipes.
• Ability to direct the activity of others.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in order to direct the work of others.
• Must be able to operate large kitchen equipment, and bend, push, stop, twist, and lift large containers of hot food.
