    At BMC, the dedicated Assembler Helper is an entry-level team member, responsible for assisting in assembling components, stocks lumber and plates and other work-related materials and supplies. 

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    1. Lays out component supplies and materials on carts or floor.
    2. Stocks plates for component set-up.
    3. Assembles components under the direction of the line leaders.
    4. Loads and bands finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
    5. Maintains work area, by keeping it neat and organized.
    6. May perform other special projects.
    7. Other duties as assigned by location management.

    Required Skills

    1. Minimum Education: High school education and/or equivalent work experience.
    2. Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
    3. Temperatures will vary.
    4. Lifting up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis and up to 100 lbs. on an infrequent basis. 
    5. Dusty and noisy environment when operating woodworking machines and tools. 
    6. Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time, eye protection and hard sole leather shoes required at all times. 
    7. Overtime work could be involved.

    Required Experience

    1.  Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; prior carpentry experience helpful.
