    TMC/UH LAKEWOOD is located between Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, Missouri, offering residents of Eastern Jackson County access to a modern community hospital with a continuum of outpatient services designed to meet the needs of families.  TMC/UH Lakewood specializes in high-risk maternal and child care, and serves as one of the few Kansas City metro area institutions accredited by The Joint Commission in Orthopedics and Palliative Care. It also is home to a 188-bed, fully accredited long-term care center.

     

    TMC/UH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is the KC metro area’s largest, most comprehensive provider of mental health services. The HEALING CANVAS BUILDING, located in Kansas City’s vibrant Crossroads Arts District, is its epicenter, providing a broad list of outpatient services. We also offer psychiatric inpatient care, and we deliver therapeutic services through our community outreach clinics.     The Director of Corporate Supply Chain Management works under the direction of the CFO, provides corporate leadership for Supply Chain Services performing the following duties, but not limited to:

    • Develops, implements, monitors, and assures an integrated and coordinated supply chain services program based on the corporate Strategic Plan.
    • Plans, directs, organizes and coordinates purchasing, inventory management and supply distribution.
    • Directs all purchasing, inventory and supply management 
    • Acts as a liaison to the Capital Asset Committee

     

     

    Required Skills

    Minimum Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis on supply chain management, or closely related area.
    2. Five years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management in retail manufacturing setting or healthcare setting.
    3. Demonstrated skill in principles of supply change management theories, management techniques, and methods to include:
    • Negotiating with large aggressive suppliers
    • Supplier selection, management and development
    • Working with Group Purchasing organizations and distributors
    • Effectively monitors discounts, rebates, and other supplier adjustments
    • High volume materials management
    • Multi-site management experience
    • Effecting minimum inventory levels and developing alternative stocking strategies
    • Ensuring lean, but with high availability stock levels of critical supplies
    • Focus on cost reduction, enhanced logistics efficiency, and customer service
    1. Experience in the supervision and management of personnel, including a record of effective recruitment and motivation of staff, as well as the ability to delegate authority to such individuals. Demonstrated ability to provide exemplary leadership in the development of teamwork among staff.
    2. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with medical staff, managers, supervisors, other hospital employees and the public.
    3. Highly motivated individual with an influencing management style, strategic focus, performance driven, and action oriented.
    4. Detail oriented with the ability to analyze information and formulate effective plans for using information and achieving outcomes.
    5. Sound judgment sufficient to ensure the integrity of operations.
    6. Excellent communication skills including a high degree of professionalism and personal presence.
    7. Considerable skill in facilitating problem solving.
