POSITION DESCRIPTION Individual will be accountable for Database administration and Operational Support of Microsoft SQL Server environments as a team member of multi-platform Database Services team (MS-SQL, Oracle and MySQL) providing technical solutions for Optum State Government applications. A typical day will involve standard SQL Server DBA duties like applying SQL Server patches, supporting database backups and restores, working on any performance tuning requirements, and live monitoring of databases. An individual in this DBA role will also work closely with application support and development teams to refine their SQL scripts and assist in application release deployments and support any database break-fix type requests. On a day to day basis, DBA will be on point to run database health checks and troubleshoot/remediate any findings. On a project basis, apply patches and upgrades of current SQL Server lower version environments to latest version will also be in-scope for DBA duties in this position. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
