This is a place like no other and where you'll do YOUR LIFE'S BEST WORK.(SM) We are now seeking an experienced REPORTING BUSINESS ANALYST at our 12459 Network Boulevard location in San Antonio (NW side of San Antonio). The REPORTING BUSINESS ANALYST reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the business needs in support of WellMed's strategic initiatives. This position interacts regularly with WellMed's Medical Management, Utilization Management, Case Management, and Population Health Management departments. You will be utilizing TruCare (an enterprise care management platform that enables payers and providers to effectively manage care to improve outcomes) for reporting. This position assists with configuration of the TruCare application. Configuration requests are managed to meet delegation and regulatory requirements. The position also collaborates with the TruCare user community for feedback on system improvements. This position will support regular and ad hoc reporting, including database queries, design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and stakeholder analysis in support of business operations goals. The position collaborates with project managers, business sponsors and others to ensure goals and objectives are met. This is an office-based position with the flexibility to work from home portions of the week. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for intake and review of configuration requests related to system requirements, impact to users and offers alternative recommendations where feasible based on application functionality
    • Responsible for TruCare business rules maintenance and validation checkpoints
    • Serves as the subject matter expert for TruCare configuration and reporting capabilities. Analyzes TruCare business and reporting needs and ensures that functional and technical requirements are documented
    • Writes SQL queries and performs table joins and complex data merges
    • Develop and maintain reports relating to Jasper, Jasper Soft Studio, EDW, SSRS & Tableau

    • Undergraduate degree (non-degreed applicants will be considered with 8+ years of relevant experience)
    • 5+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry (health insurance, medical office, hospital, etc.)
    • 3+ years of experience working with project management principles and techniques
    • 3+ years of experience years in data report design, implementation and analytics within a SQL environment
    • Intermediate proficiency working with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Masters in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field
    • Advanced proficiency working with MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
    • 3+ years of experience working with healthcare related software in a reporting and/or configuration capacity
    • Experience working with TruCare and/or MCG medical software applications
    • Experience with various reporting analytical tools (SSRS, Qlikview, Tableau, etc.)
    • Familiarity with Jasper and Jasper Soft Studio
    • Working knowledge of SQL syntax and SQL Reporting Services
    • Effective communication and customer service skills required
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced healthcare driven environment
    • Ability to think critically
    • Self-sufficient; able to work with minimal direction
    • Be flexible and adaptable to change
