Bring along your passion and do YOUR LIFE'S BEST WORK.(SM) The Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Provider Analytics, Optum Analytics is responsible for conducting customized market assessments and product demonstrations to assist the sales team in developing new business opportunities. The SME leads walkthroughs of custom analyses to demonstrate the value of Optum's offerings and to provide recommendations to each prospective organization as to which geographic markets, services, or physicians/practices present the greatest potential opportunity in their markets. The SME is responsible for leveraging the selected tools (Planning 2020 / Crimson Market Advantage / Patient Journey Analytics / Market Innovation Center) to create unique and thoughtful analyses that will showcase the full value of these solutions. If you are a seasoned analyst with experience developing innovative analyses, selling to major hospital system executives (e.g. CEO, CFO, CSO, etc.), and are interested to join the world's leading healthcare solution provider then this role is may be for you. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct live in-person and remote demonstrations of analytical capabilities of the Planning 20/20 tools - including the development of organization-specific use cases, customized geographic or service line action plans, and recommendations for future projects
    • Create customized market analysis to generate interest from new organizations in the sales pipeline or to further the evaluation from interested organizations
    • Build client-specific versions of the Planning 20/20 tools with a focus accurately defining affiliated organizations, physicians, and geographic markets to allow for more meaningful demonstrations
    • Run point on follow-up analyses and/or data specific questions from prospective clients
    • Liaise with the product development and data acquisition teams to provide market feedback on the tools, drive future functionality, and test the accuracy of new features or data assets
    • Work closely with the sales organization to determine client sales strategies and to leverage data analysis to determine best use cases and course of action for each prospective organization
    • Demonstrate proficiency in both provider industry trends and knowledge of Optum solutions
    • Make presentations to target audiences (including internal) and at industry functions to educate and inspire prospects on Optum's Market Performance Solutions within the healthcare provider market

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years of analytics experience in healthcare or related industry
    • Experience with client-facing executive presentations
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to travel up to 60 % to visit client base within a national geographic area

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Advanced understanding of growth drivers for hospital systems
    • Knowledge of physician network optimization and strategic planning
    • Experience in a sales or client management role
    • Experience using MicroStrategy, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
