FTE 1.0 FLSA Non-Exempt Scheduled Hours/Shift 7:30am - 4:00pm. Monday - Friday Overview Operates digital printing, cutting, folding, and packaging equipment to produce printed forms, documents and marketing campaigns. This position does a variety of tasks to help turn text and graphic files into finished physical pages for print. The Print Shop Worker is also responsible for working collaboratively with internal customers, department team members, and equipment service technicians. Responsibilities Key Print Shop Production Operate digital printing, cutting, folding & packaging equipment and software Prioritize work to meet volume and quality expectations Utilize web-to-print software to track work in production and fulfill internal customer orders. Maintain print quality standards and produce printed material accurately, meeting deadlines and efficiency expectations. Troubleshoot equipment failures and communicate with equipment service vendors as needed. Work collaboratively with Print Shop staff and internal customers to ensure quality service and products. Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance. Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position. Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare. Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year . Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent Trade school for graphic design, lithography, or digital print preferred. Experience: One year experience operating production or fulfillment workflow software. One year experience in production, order fulfillment, or customer service. One year experience troubleshooting equipment or software. Two plus years experience in a digital print production & fulfillment environment including operating color and B&W digital printers preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to speak, read, write effectively in English. Ability to operate a computer and production software applications. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Exhibit professional demeanor. Knowledge of printing paper. Skilled in operating production laser printers, cutters, folders and mailing equipment. Ability to effectively use shipping software.
