    Medimore System Analyst Requisition ID 2018-53666 Category Physician Services and Medical Affiars Location US-IA-West Des Moines Address 1776 West Lakes Parkway City West Des Moines Department HCF-Medimore State IA FTE 1.0 FLSA Non-Exempt Scheduled Hours/Shift Monday - Friday; Days Work Type (Portal Searching) Full Time Benefits Overview Under direction of department Director and in collaboration with the Information Systems (IS) department, the System Analyst for Medimore is responsible for implementation, development and maintenance of the department database system (MSOW/Apogee). Focuses on system solutions to improve data capture, data integrity, reporting and analysis. Designs and evaluates information, reports and forms. Plans and provides ongoing orientation and education on use of the database system to department staff as well as staff in facilities that are users of the database. Assumes responsibility for implementation of initiatives within the realm and scope of this position. Responsibilities Data Base Management Manage the credentialing database and oversee data integrity and correctness for all practitioner information. Maintain all practitioners credentialing and enrollment information including data tables that populate practitioner information. Work with various entities or departments to ensure information is complete and current. Set up users with appropriate permissions and passwords, bringing the system back up when it goes down, in conjunction with Information Systems, manage upgrades to the credentialing system and installing additional modules to the database. Responsible for the education new staff on the credentialing database and provides continuing education to current staff on programming changes and updates to the database. Proactively research new software modules, technology and make recommendation to management on future state and improvements to the software. Investigate and resolve issues within Morrissey system that impact ability for payors. Support leadership in handling complaints, disputes and resolving grievances related to credentialing and Morrissey. Interpret and implement policy changes and update Morrissey where appropriate. Recommend to leadership when a policy or process needs to be reinvented that impacts the credentialing process. Report Management Manage and generate reports in Crystal Report Writer related to practitioners processed by the department. Collect and analyze data from multiple sources for the development of reports and statistical information. Review information for accuracy and reconciles data on a regular basis Formulates, defines and recommends scope and format of reports. Responsible for the integrity of reports. Compiles analytical and statistical reports as needed Qualifications Education: Education in relational database and reporting systems required, e.g., Crystal Reports Bachelors degree or Equivalent experience in healthcare administration or related field preferred. Experience: Two years experience working as a Credentialing Specialist, Medical Staff Coordinator, Medical Staff Assistant or equivalent is desired. Experience with Microsoft Office applications required. Minimum two years experience working with data and databases, with ability to retrieve, organize and present data using computer database applications or related software. Experience Preferred: Experience with database design, administration, maintenance, documentation, support and application enhancement preferred. Experience with Morrissey MSOW application as well as change management procedures and software preferred. Experience with Crystal Reports preferred. Skills: Work with sensitivity with confidential information on a continuous basis Proficiently use MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access (including ability to manage databases, develop charts, tables, graphs) Communicate well with a range of leaders and employees Employ excellent analytical abilities and to problem-solve Be well organized, attentive to detail, meet established deadlines, and work well under pressure
