Receiving Assistant II UnityPoint Health-East Peoria Campus Shift: Full-time/ 40 hrs per week 6:30A-3:00Mon-Fri. Summary: To receive, record, rertrieve, store, and deliver material that is essential to the daily operations of the Medical Center, and perform special functions as assigned and required by either the SPD or Receiving Coordinator and/or the Logistics Manager. Reports to the Logistics Manager while accepting daily work direction from the Receiving or SPD Coordinator. Responsibilities To act as a resource to the Medical Center regarding orders, record retrieval, and the tracking of purchase orders when necessary. 1. Is required to resolve discrepancies found in the receipt of material to the MMIS. 2. Works closely with Purchasing and with other hospital departments in tracking and locating any misplaced items. 3. Uses knowledge of the software system to make appropriate inquiries in order to facilitate proper delivery and location of items. To deliver materials throughout the Medical Center, Methodist Health Services Corporation, and distribute to all off-site departments (East Campus, Carver Center, Atrium, GOMP). 1. Delivers material to locations in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. 2. Drives the delivery vehicle to accomplish such deliveries in a safe and efficient manner. 3. Responds appropriately to requests for rush priority deliveries with speed and courtesy. 4. Delivers any items labeled as hazardous with appropriate safeguards. To process, audit, and accurately enter the receipt of purchase orders in the computerized Materials Management Inventory System (MMIS). 1. Processes the receipt of items from packing slips with accuracy and efficiency into the MMIS. 2. Audits every package to assure that items are indeed received accurately. 3. Produces an accurate label indicating the appropriate delivery location for each package. 4. Makes inquiries on the MMIS as to status and delivery location in order to answer customer questions. To receive, verify, ship, store, and sign for all material and equipment delivered to the Warehouse or Hospital dock via common or parcel carrier . 1. Takes delivery and verifies items being brought to warehouse and hospital dock by common or parcel carrier with accuracy and efficiency. 2. Assures that all items are handled with care to prevent damage. 3. Uses appropriate judgment in signing for materials being delivered to either warehouse or hospital dock. 4. Notes any discrepancy found on the freight bill and informs Purchasing and the Distribution/Logistics Manager as appropriate. 5. Acts as agent for MMCI in signing for the title and delivery of thousands of dollars in materials. Qualifications Education: 1. High School Diploma preferred. Credentials: 1. Valid Driver's License in the state of IL 2. Other: Successful completion of IDOT physical. 3. Additional Information: Must have an MVR run annually. Experience: 1. 0-1 years of experience in/with CDL driving
