Registered Nurses prescribe, coordinate and delegate nursing care by integrating the nursing processes into our multidisciplinary treatment teams plan of care. A Registered Nurse is responsible for assigned nursing care activities, maintaining all required records, and for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practices on the unit. A Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed. Experience: One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred. New Grads Welcome! Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois. Knowledge/Skills: Possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and have CPR training. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is customer focused.
