Our 162-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Our ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking skills, the ability to assess educational needs, develop training programs, implement/facilitate educational curriculum, build and maintain positive professional relationships with all hospital staff, as well as demonstrate professional, effective written and verbal communication skills. Assists in conducting annual training needs assessment and develop annual training plan/calendar for all employees. Participates in the orientation of new hires. * Assists hospital management in evaluating staff education needs based on audit data, best practices and proactively developing educational opportunities to elevate standards of practice at OVBHS and reviewing hospital strategic plan and Plan for Provision of Care to develop and maintain staff competencies to meet organizational goals (EX. new clinical services or patient populations) * Maintains records (attendance, program descriptions, etc.) of services provided educational programs, orientation, individual education consultation, etc. * Reviews specific areas of clinical practice critical to the population specific care provided by OVBHS. Audits of the implementation of plans of correction to ensure thorough and accurate completion as directed Job Requirements * Graduate of accredited school of registered nursing * BSN strongly preferred * Two years inpatient psychiatric experience with adults and/or adolescents preferred * Two years as a staff and/or nursing educator strongly preferred * Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License * American Heart Association CPR & First Aid certification required * Willingness and ability to obtain instructor certifications in CPR, First Aid, CPI, Verbal De-Escalation, etc.
